Apparently, I don't get on here much anymore. Well, lots of stuff has been going on in the nearly half year since I visited. We've traveled in the state to see family, celebrated 3 80th birthdays with family and generally have had a great time. Sadly, little Molly crossed the rainbow bridge after 16 years of faithful companionship with Teacher.
We survived another school year and are enjoying summer. Music, camping, rafting and resting have been on the agenda lately. We went to a music festival a few weeks ago and really liked it. One of the bands played a song that mentioned Teacher's last name quite prominently and I decided I needed to learn it. Another band played a song that really encouraged audience participation, and I thought I ought to learn it as well. So, I filed those away in my memory bank on Sunday before we headed out to our last camping spot on Colorado National Monument in far western Colorado. That camp spot turned out to be so fantastic with great views and very few people around. Teacher said, "This is our best camp spot ever!" I will tell you that she wasn't so certain about camping up there after we had spent the night at a perfectly manicured RV park with showers and what not available, but, being the good sport she is, she reluctantly went along with my scheme and later told me how glad she was that we went up there instead of finding another place.
After we returned back to our homes, I got out my guitar and proceeded to learn those two songs and unleashed them at one of our local open mics that same day. They were a big hit!
We've been sort of casually looking at houses over the past 6 months or so and keep gagging on the prices. We have a realtor and are getting more serious. It seems that the prices for some are starting to come down for some and we are getting pretty close to making an offer.
That's about it for today. Hope you are all doing well.
